Users can create keys using two different methods, bulk or individually.

Dealers can create a key inside a location. The Key Details field shown below is an optional field for the dealer to add notes about the key. Once the key is created, it will be automatically assigned a Key ID.

Keys can be assigned to vehicles during bulk creation. Read Create Keys: Bulk or Individually for more information about bulk creating keys.

Select a VIN for a single Key ID.

To do this, the user will go to the Keys Page and click on the pencil icon to enable Edit Mode. Now, the VIN column will be a dropdown box and the user can search the correct VIN for that specific Key ID.

Add a single VIN to multiple Key IDs

To do this, users will select the keys they want to edit in the table and then click Bulk Edit from the menu. There will be a popup with the Key IDs listed. The user can search for the VIN that will be paired to all of the Key IDs.

The user can select the targeted VIN or vehicle from the vehicle list and click on the menu in order to select the Pair Keys to <VIN> option.
