Overview
The car dealer can create individual or bulk modes; this article describes both methods.
Individual Key Creation
Dealers can create a key inside a location. The Key Details field shown below is an optional field for the dealer to add notes about the key. Note that keys can be created from either the Keys group screen or from the Vehicle Item screen, when the user toggles over to the Keys tab.

Bulk Key Creation
Dealers can bulk-create keys inside a location. To do this, they can navigate to the keys page in the location side navigation.
Step 1: Preparing the CSV file for Upload
This action will open up a menu. The best path forward is to download the template before uploading the CSV file.
The CSV template has two columns:
Key Details: The user can add key details for the upload. This could be primary vs spare key. It could denote the color. Whatever the user wants to add here is totally up to them.
Vehicle: This column will be used to automatically pair the key with the entered VIN. The VIN MUST already exist at the dealership.

Step 2: Uploading the CSV
Once the file is prepared. The user can upload the file from their computer and hit next.
Regardless of which CSV option a user chooses, once they upload the CSV, to ensure all vehicle data is correctly set up, users will be prompted to map all of the CSV columns to vehicle attributes in our system.
⚠️ While the upload is in progress, please do not close the tab. You will be able to track the progress in the loading screen
Once all the keys are uploaded, the user will be able to see a summary. If any errors are detected, they will be listed, and the user can download an error CSV report. Reasons a key may have not been able to be created include:
Invalid fields: If the value does not match the type (eg: if the value in the csv contains letters and the attribute is of type number)
Missing fields: If that row of the CSV was missing one of the required fields (there are no required fields for keys
