Overview
When vehicles are created via the single vehicle or bulk vehicle creation flows, you are required enter a vehicle type. Vehicle types play an important role in the alert logic and system logic in RecovR. Vehicle types include:
Retail: The most important & widely-used vehicle type. Retail vehicles are the only vehicle type that can be affected by the Suspected Drive Off logic.

Alert Rules
On the Alert Rules page, users can turn on and off alerts by vehicle type. This can help manage and decrease alert noise by ignoring some vehicle types, like Loaner, from certain alert types, like the Vehicle Left Location After Hours Alert. Be certain that your vehicles are labelled with the correct types so that you do not disable key theft-related alerts for at-risk vehicles.
