Overview
If you have a paired retail vehicle leave your dealership & stay offsite for 3 days, it will enter a suspected drive-off alert status. Offsite is defined as over .1 miles from the nearest zone border and accounts for the accuracy of the reported position.
Requirements
The vehicle must be type retail when the vehicle leaves the lot
The locator status is paired when the vehicle leaves the lost
The vehicle must be offsite for > 72 hours
You can see when the vehicle left your dealership in the "Left Site At" data attribute.
Email Notifications
On the alert rules page, dealers can enable an email alert to notify them that a vehicle has been marked as a suspected drive-off.
Sale Automation
After a total of 15 days from when the vehicle has gone offsite (and 12 days after the email alert), the vehicle will be marked as a vehicle-only sale and the locator will be marked as "Lost - Assumed Drive Off"
The 12 days between the email notification and the automated vehicle sale provides dealers time to reconcile offsite vehicles before they are marked as sales.
