The Find Key and Find Tag features use Bluetooth to communicate with your device. To use them, your phone needs two things:
Phone Bluetooth turned on — Bluetooth must be enabled in your phone's settings.
RecovR app permission to use Bluetooth — Your phone must allow the RecovR Dealer app to access Bluetooth.
If either of these is off, the feature won't work. To check or update your settings, follow the steps below for your device.
iPhone (iOS)
Turn on Phone Bluetooth
Open the Settings app.
Tap Bluetooth.
Toggle Bluetooth on (the toggle should be green).
Allow RecovR to Use Bluetooth
Open the Settings app.
Click into Apps
Scroll down and tap RecovR Dealer.
Tap Bluetooth.
Select Allow.
Once both are enabled, return to the RecovR Dealer app and try Find Key or Find Tag again.
Android
Turn on Phone Bluetooth
Open the Settings app.
Tap Connected devices (on some phones this may be labeled Connections or Bluetooth & device connection).
Tap Bluetooth and toggle it on.
Tip: You can also swipe down from the top of your screen to open the Quick Settings panel and tap the Bluetooth icon to turn it on quickly.
Allow RecovR to Use Bluetooth
Open the Settings app.
Tap Apps (or Application Manager).
Find and tap RecovR Dealer.
Tap Permissions.
Tap Nearby devices (on Android 12 and later) or Bluetooth (on older Android versions).
Select Allow.
Once both are enabled, return to the RecovR Dealer app and try Find Key or Find Tag again.
Still having trouble?
If the feature still isn't working after enabling Bluetooth and granting permissions, try the following:
Make sure the key or tag is nearby (within a few feet).
Close the app completely and reopen it.
Restart your phone and try again.
