Pairing and Unpairing a Tag with a Key

You can pair or unpair a tag with a key within the app to link or separate them as needed. There are two ways to do this — either from the key list or from the top action bar.

1. Pairing a Tag with a Key

You can start the pairing process from either:

  • The Keys list, or

  • The top of the screen, next to the “Search” and “Create” buttons.

Option A: Pairing from the Keys List

  1. Navigate to your Keys list.

  2. Select a specific key — a popup will appear at the bottom of the screen.

  3. Click “Pair.”

  4. You’ll be taken to a confirmation screen showing the key being paired. Click “Next.”

  5. On the next page, select or search for a tag to pair with the key.

  6. Once selected, click “Pair.”

  7. After pairing successfully, you’ll see a confirmation screen indicating success, with options to “Done” or “Pair Another Key.”

Option B: Pairing from the Top Action Bar

  1. From the Keys screen, click “Pair” at the top (next to “Search” and “Create”).

  2. You’ll first need to search for and select a key to pair.

  3. Once selected, continue following the same steps as in Option A to choose and pair a tag.

2. Unpairing a Tag from a Key

You can unpair a tag using either the key list popup or the top action bar.

Option A: Unpairing from the Keys List

  1. From the Keys list, select the key currently paired with a tag.

  2. In the popup, click “Unpair.”

  3. Confirm when prompted.

  4. After unpairing, a success banner will appear confirming that the tag has been unpaired.

Option B: Unpairing from the Top Action Bar

  1. From the Keys screen, click “Pair” at the top (next to “Search” and “Create”).

  2. You’ll first need to search for and select a key to unpair.

  3. Once selected, continue with the unpairing process as outlined above where you will finish after you see the unpairing successful and a "Done" button.
