Getting Directions and Sharing a Location
You can easily view and share the current location of a vehicle or locator from within the application.
Note:
The Get Directions and Share Location options are only available if the vehicle or locator has recently reported a position. If no recent position is available, these options will not appear when selecting the vehicle or locator.
1. Sharing a Location
To share a vehicle or locator’s location:
Click on the vehicle (if it’s paired with a locator), or navigate to the Locator tab under the desired Location.
Click the kebab menu icon (⋮) to open additional options.
If the locator has recently reported a position, select “Share Location.”
A native sharing box will appear, allowing you to choose how you’d like to share the link.
You can also copy the location text directly, which is formatted as:
Open [LocatorID]'s position in Google Maps: [Map URL]
2. Getting Directions
To get directions to a vehicle or locator:
Follow the same steps above to access the kebab menu.
Select “Get Directions”, which appears right above “Share Location.”
A popup will appear showing the latitude and longitude of the locator’s most recent position.
You’ll see two options:
Open in Google Maps – Launches the position directly in Google Maps.
Copy Position – Copies the latitude and longitude to your device’s clipboard.
