Unpairing a Vehicle from a Locator

If a vehicle needs to be disconnected from its assigned locator, you can unpair it directly through the application.

Navigating to Vehicles

From the landing page, go to your vehicles in one of the following ways:

  • Company → Location → Vehicle, or

  • Location → Vehicle

Once you’re on the Vehicles screen, you can begin the unpairing process in one of two ways:

  • Select a specific vehicle from the list, which will display a popup at the bottom of the screen with the options “Unpair”, “Edit”, and “Overview”, or

  • Click “Pair” at the top of the screen next to “Search” and “Create”

1. Unpairing from the Vehicle List

If you select a specific vehicle from the list and click “Unpair” in the popup:

  • This will take you directly to the screen where you can search for and confirm the unpairing.

  • After selecting the correct item, you’ll see a confirmation screen explaining that the vehicle will remain in inventory and will not be marked as sold after unpairing.

  • Click “Continue Unpairing” to proceed.

  • When the process completes, you’ll see an Unpairing Successful screen. From here, you can choose to click “Done” or “Unpair Another.”

2. Unpairing from the Location Screen

If you click “Pair” from the top of the Location screen:

  1. You’ll be taken to a screen where you can Pair or Unpair a locator with a vehicle.

  2. Select “Unpair Locator from Vehicle.”

  3. You can now search by either the Vehicle VIN or the Locator you wish to unpair.

  4. The remaining steps — reviewing the confirmation, continuing unpairing, and completing the process — are the same as above.
