Pairing a Vehicle with a Locator

You can pair an existing vehicle with a locator directly from the application. Follow the steps below depending on how you choose to initiate the pairing process.

Navigating to Vehicles

From the landing page, go to your vehicles in one of the following ways:

  • Company → Location → Vehicle, or

  • Location → Vehicle

Once you’re on the Vehicles screen, you can start pairing in one of two ways:

  • Select a specific vehicle from the list, which will display a popup at the bottom of the screen with the options “Pair”, “Edit”, and “Overview”, or,

  • Click “Pair” at the top of the screen next to “Search” and “Create”

1. Pairing from the Vehicle List

If you click “Pair” after selecting a specific vehicle from the list:

  • This will skip the initial vehicle search step described above and take you directly to the screen where you can search for and select a locator to pair.

  • The remaining steps — reviewing the pairing, confirming, and receiving the success banner — are the same as above.

2. Pairing from the Location Screen

If you select “Pair” from the top of the Location screen:

  1. You’ll be taken to a screen where you can Pair or Unpair a locator with a vehicle.

  2. Click “Pair Locator to Vehicle.”

  3. You’ll be prompted to either scan or manually enter the VIN of the vehicle. A suggested search will help you locate the existing vehicle you want to pair.

  4. After selecting the vehicle, proceed to the next screen to search for the locator you wish to pair.

  5. Once selected, you’ll be able to review the pairing details before confirming.

  6. Click “Pair.”

If the pairing is successful, a banner will appear indicating that the pairing was successful.
