Background
Previously, whenever a RecovR For Keys (R4K) sale took place, users at the dealership were required to manually input the IDs of the Key Tags at the time of sale. This was to ensure that we properly transferred over the right key tags for customers.
We received feedback that this requirement was inconvenient for the user and sought to correct that. The updated sales flow is as follows.
PEN Sales
The field in the PEN interface labeled “Products Device ID Number” was a required field. We have updated that field to be optional. You can still provide us with the IDs, which will allow smoother tracking of inventory, but it is not a requirement to complete a sale.
RecovR Portal Sales
The sales flow for RecovR Tags in the RecovR UI has been simplified. There are only 3 fields:
RecovR Tags Sale Price
Quantity of RecovR Tags in Sale (required)
Do you know all of the RecovR Tag IDs in this sale? (required)
Depending on the response to the third question, there are two potential paths:
1) The Salesperson Selects “Yes”
The salesperson is prompted to enter the Tag IDs of each tag on the sale.
Once the salesperson provides these tag IDs, they can click Next and continue on with the sale. These specific Tag IDs will be visible in the customer's account once they log in to the app.
2) The Salesperson Selects “No”
If no Tag IDs are provided, the customer will see an "Unpaired Key" in their Assets on the RecovR app. Once the customer pairs their Tags to their mobile App, the sale will update with the correct Tag IDs.
In the RecovR Portal, any Tags paired to the sold vehicle will show a "Pending" state. These "Pending" Tags will show on the sale until the customer pairs the Tags to their mobile App.
If there are no Tags paired to the sold vehicle, the customer will still be able to pair their tags through the mobile App. The sale will then update with the actual Tags that the customer has paired.
