If you have a Locator on hand that was previously lost, you can reconcile the Locator from the Lost Locators page. You can also pair the Locator to a vehicle in your inventory.
Reconciling a Lost Locator
Reconciling a Lost Locator
Reconciliation asks the Locator to report its position, to ensure that it is onsite at your dealership before marking it as found. This may take a few hours to complete.
Note: You can only Reconcile a Lost Locator once every 24 hours.
Select the Lost Locator Record that corresponds with the Locator, click the three dots, and select Reconcile. You can perform this action in bulk by selecting multiple Lost Locator Records at once.
Once the position is reported back, if the position is onsite at your dealership or a Sister Location, the Lost Locator Record will be marked as Found. The Locator will return to your inventory.
If the Locator reports back as being offsite, it will remain lost.
Pairing a Lost Locator to Vehicle
Pairing a Lost Locator to Vehicle
Locators that have been Lost will not appear in the Locators tab in the RecovR Portal. However, you can still pair Locators that have been lost to Vehicles. This process will mark them as Found.
For example, if a Locator is Lost but then returned to your dealership, you can mark it as Found by pairing the Locator to a Vehicle in your inventory.
There is a pop-up that will say "Locator Was Lost" and you will select "Mark as Found & Pair."
Note: Because Locators that have been lost are no longer in your inventory in the portal, you will need to get the Locator ID by looking at the device itself, via QR code or the ID number.
Protip: If you have the Locator in hand, flipping it over twice can force the Locator to report its position quicker.
