After a vehicle has been purchased with RecovR by a customer, there may be a need to change the customer (vehicle owner) information. The sale might be in the wrong customer's name, or perhaps the original owner is transferring the vehicle and RecovR account to a family member.
Whatever the reason, it's important to change the customer on the RecovR sale so that the new owner can use the mobile app to track the vehicle or keys. Additionally, this change ensures that the original owner no longer has access to the vehicle or keys and their locations on the RecovR app.
Now, Company Admins have the ability to change the owner of a vehicle!
How to Update:
1.) Go to the Location page, and then the Sales page. Find the sale that corresponds to the VIN and current owner. The sale must be a RecovR sale, and it must be complete.
2.) Select the sale in the table view and open the actions menu. Select the action Change Vehicle Ownership.
3.) You will receive a prompt to fill out the ‘Change Vehicle Ownership’ transfer form, providing the new customer information. All fields are required.
Note: Submitting the new owner's email information will remove all access that the current owner has to track the vehicle.
