Overview of the RecovR Tag

  • The front of the tag can be pressed in as a button.

  • There are two LED lights on the the sides of the the tag that help indicate various states/actions.

  • The tag can emit various sounds and tunes.

  • The tag can be recharged using a USBC charger.

  • The Tag ID is the last 6 digits of the tag’s mac address and can be found printed on the back of the tag:

Activating a Tag

To activate a tag:

Press the button on the front of the tag 3 times.

  • There is no pause, and every button press is done at the same interval. If you are having trouble activating your device, please try pressing the button while counting until 3.

  • If the tag successfully activates, you will hear a high-pitched beep.

To confirm that a tag is activated:

Hold down the button on the front of the tag. After a few seconds, the light on the sides should confirm the tag is activated. The LED color depends on the battery level (transition between red and green). If it is not green, tag should be charged.

Charging a Tag

The tag can be recharged using a USBC charger.

The lights on the sides will indicate the battery level. To check the battery level, hold down the button on the front of the tag. After a few seconds, the light on the sides will indicate the battery level (transition between red and green). If it is not green, the tag should be charged. Once the tag is charged it will be green.

Resetting a Tag (Factory Reset)

  1. Locate the button on the front of the device - under the RecovR logo.

  2. Press the button 4 times, on the 4th press, keep pressing & holding (~10sec).

    1. There is no pause and every button press be done at the same interval. If you are having trouble resetting your device, please try pressing the button while counting until 4.

  3. You will hear 3 high-pitched beeps. Release the button during the third beep, before it ends.

  4. After that, you will hear a jingle, that's the confirmation that your device was properly reset. If you did not hear the jingle, try performing the factory reset again.
