Overview

RecovR & Vehicle sale is a vehicle sale paired to a RecovR Locator and/or vehicle keys sales paired to RecovR for Keys Tags as an F&I add-on. This action can only be made on one vehicle at a time and requires the user to create or add a RecovR account for the customer. It positively affects the location's sell-through rate.

Step 1: Review Sale Information

a - If the selected RecovR product is only a RecovR Locator:

  1. Salesperson: the user credited with making the sale. This is auto-populated with the name of the user creating the sale in the system.

  1. RecovR Locator Sales Price: the amount charged to the consumer for the RecovR product

  2. Locator ID: this is the locator that will be sold to the consumer. If a locator was already paired with the vehicle, this field will be auto-populated. The user can also change the locator or search for a new locator.

b - If the selected RecovR product is only a RecovR Tags:

  1. Salesperson: the user credited with making the sale. This is auto-populated with the name of the user creating the sale in the system.

  1. RecovR Tags Sales Price: the amount charged to the consumer for the RecovR product

  2. Select the RecovR Tags: These are the tag IDs that will be sold to the consumer. If a RecovR Tag was already paired with the vehicle keys, this field will be auto-populated. The user can also add a key.

c - If both RecovR Locator and RecovR Tags are selected:

  1. Salesperson: the user credited with making the sale. This is auto-populated with the name of the user creating the sale in the system.

  1. RecovR Sales Price: the amount charged to the consumer for the RecovR product

  2. Locator ID: this is the locator that will be sold to the consumer. If a locator was already paired with the vehicle, this field will be auto-populated. The user can also change the locator or search for a new locator.

Special Note: If the selected/scanned RecovR Locator is...

Offline

If a vehicle was selected and the locator that was paired is offline (hasn’t reported for more than 3 hours), it is not recommended for sale. The user is prompted to replace this locator before continuing with the sale and they cannot continue with the sale until new locator is chosen.

Inactive

Unactivated locators cannot be paired to vehicles. Once the locator is activated and the system receives its first heartbeat, it is ready for pairing & sale.

Assigned to sister Location

If a locator scanned is assigned to a sister location, the user can move the locator to their current location and pair.

Low Battery

If a locator that is chosen has a battery below 70% the dealer is shown a warning that it is not recommended for sale. They can choose to replace this Locator or continue with the sale. When the sale is created if the battery is below 70% the status will be “Sale Pending. Replace Locator.”

Step 2: Enter Customer Information and Complete Sale

Customer Information is collected to create a RecovR account for the consumer to use the mobile consumer native app. After entering this information and confirming the sale details, it can take anywhere from 5 to 30 seconds to complete the sale.

Existing Customers

If the consumer already has a RecovR account, you can input the account email to add this vehicle & locator to the customer’s account. The only customer information shown to the dealer on the overview page is their name and email. Once the sale is made, they will receive an email.

New Customers

To create a new RecovR account for the consumer, the dealer will have to input the following:

  • Email

  • Name

  • Phone Number

  • Address

This will create a new RecovR account for the customer, and they will receive a registration email.

Step 3: Downloading Customer Contract PDF (optional)

Once the RecovR & Vehicle Sale has been created, the user has the option to download the RecovR Contract. They can do so now or at a later time from the sales table by selecting the sale and opening "More Actions". See Download Customer Contract PDF.
