Overview

Far From Lot email alerts are triggered if a vehicle reports a position X miles from the location’s nearest zone. Dealers can enable these alerts for specific vehicle types and can set the value of X in the Alert Rules page in each location. These email alerts will be sent to company/location administrators and editors.

Details

  1. Any vehicle with a position more than X miles from the dealership will trigger an alert regardless of time of day. An alert will be sent once every 24 hours.

  2. If no mile value is entered, the system will use 25 miles as the default

Impact on Onsite Status

The onsite status data field uses the value input in the vehicle far from lot to determine the following fields:

  • Onsite (0-.1 miles): The position reported is within .1 miles of any zone and/or accuracy of position is within .1 miles on any zone border.

Offsite:

  • Near-Site (.1 - X miles): The position reported is closer than the mile threshold entered, but not onsite. If no threshold is entered, the system uses the default setting.

  • Far-From-Site (>X miles): The position reported is further than the mile threshold entered, but not onsite. If no threshold is entered, the system uses the default setting.
