Admins and Editors can take an action called 'Replace Customer Locator' from their sales page. This feature enables dealers to replace a customer's locator directly when that customer has returned to a dealership for service.
In order to replace a locator, follow the steps below:
Go to the Sales page and search for the VIN of the RecovR sale to be changed
Verify the sale lists the accurate VIN and defective locator ID
Select the sale's check box and select the three dots to navigate to the dropdown menu
Select 'Replace Customer Locator'
Verify customer data in the pop-up
Search for the locator ID of the new locator
Proceed with the swap
Note: From within a dealer location in the lot management application, a user can only swap a locator with another locator that is currently within that location.
