Step 1: Open the Unpairing Form

There are two ways to enter the unpairing form:

  1. No Vehicle Selected: With no vehicle selected, you can enter the unpairing form via the link icon next to the title on the vehicle page. You'll need to select a locator for unpairing via search or QR code.

  2. Vehicle Selected: If vehicle is paired, you can select it and directly perform the Unpair Locator From Vehicle action to bring up the unpairing form. The vehicle’s VIN will be automatically populated.

Step 2: Select Reason for Unpairing

You will be prompted to select one of the following reasons for unpairing. Note: It is important to record the locator's install location so you can easily find and remove it from the vehicle.

  • Vehicle Only Sale, Wholesale, or Dealer Trade: Follow the sales flow to complete the sale. A sale will be created and the vehicle will be removed from your inventory. If the vehicle is in the Sale Pending state with sale type Vehicle Only Sale, Wholesale, or Dealer trade, opening the unpairing form will redirect you to the completion page for this sale type.

  • Locator Issue: Briefly provide notes on the issue, e.g. dead battery, malfunction, unknown.

  • Other: Give the reason for unpairing.

Step 3: Unpair

Now that your vehicle is unpaired, its locator is available for pairing to a new vehicle. If you've followed all the steps above and have been unable to successfully unpair your locator from your vehicle, please contact Customer Support. LINK HERE
