Setting up the RecovR mobile app for the first time

Step 1: Check your email

When you purchased the RecovR service with your new vehicle, a RecovR account was created using the email address you provided (known as your Account Email). You should have received an email with the subject line "Activate Your RecovR Account" sent to this email address.

Step 2: Click "Activate My Account"

Click the Activate My Account button in your invitation email. The button will route you to the registration web page, where you will need to set up your account for the mobile application and read and accept RecovR's Terms & Conditions. Once all registration fields are complete, you can click on the Finish Registration button. You will then be instructed to install the application on your mobile device.

Step 3: Download the App

If the webpage link does NOT take you to the store to install the app, go to the Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android) and search for "RecovR: Vehicle Theft Recovery." Then, download the app.

If You Did Not Receive the Activation Email

You can resent an activation email directly from the app. Please follow the steps below:

  1. Download and open the app. At the bottom of the screen, press the button that says "Activate New Account." Enter your Account Email into the form. You must enter the email that you provided to your dealership. Then, press "Send Activation Email." You should receive a new activation email.

  2. Check your spam, junk, and trash folders for the email. You can search "Activate Your RecovR Account."

  3. If you are still at the dealership, check with your dealer to ensure they entered the correct email into the system.

  4. Contact our support at [email protected] with a proof of purchase that shows the VIN, your name, and the dealership where you purchased RecovR with your vehicle. Our 24/7 support will gladly help you activate your account.

Troubleshooting: The activation email has expired

If the activation link has expired, open the app on your mobile device and click the "Activate New Account" button, as shown above. On the next screen, enter your account email and press the "Send Activation Email" button.
