To force a location update for your locator, click on the refresh button shown in the screenshot below. You will then see what time the update is expected to finish, along with an option to cancel the request. You can leave the app and come back to it later while the location is updating.
Note that the position response may take up to one hour when not in Theft Recovery Mode.
If you encounter errors when updating your vehicle's location, try the following:
Tip 1: Update Your App
Please make sure you've updated your app to the latest version by visiting the App Store. Your can view your app's current version by going to Account < About & Legal. You can open the following links on your mobile device to visit the app stores:
Android Google Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.recovr
Tip 2: Restart the App
You can also try restarting the app and logging back in.
Tip 3: Troubleshoot GPS and Connectivity Issues
If you receive an error, it's possible that your vehicle is in an area that does not have good GPS connection (such as a parking garage).
If the request exceeds the expected time, it's possible that your vehicle is an area with bad network connectivity.
If it is still not working, and you need immediate help, please contact support by navigating to the RecovR Support tab.
