Connecting Your HomeNet Inventory Feed
RecovR can request HomeNet to activate your automated inventory feed sync. Setting it up takes a few minutes and requires some information HomeNet needs to activate the feed on their end.
Have the following ready:
Location address — your dealership’s address (we’ll pre-fill this for you if your RecovR location is setup correctly, but double-check it’s correct)
Contact email — must belong to an existing RecovR user at the location
New and used inventory counts — roughly how many new and used vehicles you carry
Inventory management source — the system you use to track the vehicle’s lifecycle for both new and used inventory
DMS (Dealer Management System) source name — optional; leave this as N/A if it doesn’t apply
How to set it up
Go to Integrations. From the RecovR location, open the Integrations page/tab.
Start the HomeNet setup. Find the HomeNet card and click Begin Setup. Note: you will be able to exit the wizard and resume the questionnaire at any point.
Fill in your details. Enter or confirm:
Location address
Contact email (a RecovR user at the location)
New and used inventory sizes
New and used inventory management sources
DMS source (optional)
Review and accept. Check everything over, accept the Terms & Conditions, and click Save.
That’s it — your submission is in.
What happens next
Once you save, RecovR automatically sends your information to our operations team, who opens a ticket and coordinates directly with HomeNet to turn on your feed.
Your integration status will show as Pending during this time. This step is handled manually between our team and HomeNet, so it won’t switch to Active automatically — you’ll see it go live once HomeNet confirms the feed is up and running.
How feed validation works
Once setup is complete and HomeNet sends its first full inventory list, RecovR automatically runs a validation check before turning the feed on. This protects your data from being overwritten by a mismatched or incorrect feed.
Here’s what happens behind the scenes:
VIN matching. RecovR compares the incoming VINs from HomeNet against your existing inventory at that location.
Pass threshold. The feed needs to match a defined % threshold of your VINs to be considered valid.
If it passes: Your feed automatically switches to Active, and RecovR begins keeping your inventory in sync going forward (adding, updating, and removing vehicles as needed).
If it doesn’t pass: If that also doesn’t reach the match threshold, the feed stays in Pending, the incorrect feed is blocked from being applied, and our operations team is automatically notified to work with you and HomeNet to resolve it.
